Ok this is the deal, I have a lazer red 2000 1.8T and its all stock. I dont really have money to spend on my car but i really like black wheels and am thinking about painting them. I did a search and didnt find any info on people that have painted them in the past. Can this be done or no? Here is a thread from an RX-8 forum of a guy that painted his wheels and they came out really well. Any input would be greatly appriciated.

Ugh, I wouldnt. No offense, but I really hate those wheels... I'd go as far as to say they are the worst wheels ever put on the B5.

That being said, your car is still really nice... I am a huge sucker for the laser red A4's. They look insane. If I were you, I'd just keep saving your pennies, until you can buy a nice set of 17's. They can be had for well under a grand. Sometimes like 500 - 600 used with tires.

If you paint those black, they'll be worthless.

 

Yeah, you gotta get rid of the 15's ASAP.

If you wanna do something along the lines of painting I would paint your lower valences. Your car will look much cleaner and alot better without the grey valences.

 

keep watching here i bet some dude will flop up some nice 17's for a resonable price just to get them off his hands.
