yea, one of my cats was replaced a couple years ago before i bought the car....oe cats are $450, i think about $800 if you go to the dealer...aftermarket cats are 100-200 bucks..

 

I have 128k miles on my A4 2.8 quattro, and I LOVE IT. I have had to do some maintence, brakes and temp. gauge, and I need to get new catalytic converters. But for the most part the car runs great, it runs very well in all road conditions, even snow and ice. I get compliments all the time on how great the car looks, which makes anyone feel great.

about how at home many miles did your guys cats go out? i have 107k on mine, just want to know if im getting close.

 

one of mine was replaced at about 120k, my other one is now going bad...it still works fine and passes smog but there's something loose inside and it rattles occasionally when i'm decelerating.

 

My Cats just recently started rattling, at about 125,000. I have been driving since for about three months and the rattle comes and goes.
