well my car was wasted by a ford taurus a few days ago and i might be in the market for a new car now....i have to wait until i get the final word from my insurance...so we'll see....

the question is...should i leave the dub world and move on to audis? i had a 97 jetta glx and i loved it...will i get the same thrill from an a4 2.8 quattro? keep in mind its manual transmission all the way...just wanted to here any advice from you guys or help on getting myself a sweet new whip

My fast likes the windows down... sorry I think of that evertime I think of VW. I would think youll get the vw feel but tons more luxary.

 

ya gotta love the fast commercial, what engine did you have in the vw, if I was to buy an audi again I would buy the 1.8 instead of the 3.0, alot more mods for the 1.8, 2.8 adn 3.0 can't really do a hole lot. but the v6 is a good running engine with good power stock.

 

my girlfriend has a vw jetta... getting out of that and into my a4 is like god has shined down on me... the a4 is passat size, so its bigger than the jetta, and all the luxury that comes with a fine german car... go for the a4, its still a related, just a superior, product.

 

i had a vr6...i think anything would be faster than a 2.slo haha, id never be caught dead in one

i'll pretty much have money to buy the car from the insurance company and that will be it...the only money i put into it in the future would be repairs...so im thinking the v6....whatever i do though...im going quattro! does giac make a chip for the 2.8?

 

it all depends on the vw though...ive driven a 2.0 and was bored to death...but the vr6 was a whole other story...i want that "holy crap this is crazy" feeling when i accelerate

 

go with the 1.8t, there is no 2.0 in an audi, but with the 1.8 you have the ability to mod it if you ever want to, its more efficient, and is only down from the 2.8 by like 20 horse... which when both are chipped i believe the 1.8 makes more power.

 

yes giac makes the chip and so does upsolute and a couple of others, they was a post a couple of days ago about the giac chip in a 2.8, and their is a link at the top of the a4 page for 2.8/3.0 owners. good luck you will love the audi.

 

anyone have facts for these claims? i really want to know what i should go with...the only mod i would probably ever do is a chip

1.8t or v6?

my mom has a vw passat with 5sp tiptronic and its alright...i imagine with a chip though it would be pretty intense

 

go to the links at the top of the audi page, 2.8/3.0 links or the audi links, all the info is up there but with a chip the 1.8 will put out more power than the 2.8, 40 horsepower and 80 # torque is pretty good for just a chip.
