Default For those of you with iPods

I'll be getting one of the new iPods with Video for Christmas. I would like to be able to use it in my car but was wondering what is the best device to use to transmit the FM signal or if there is a better way. Let me know what y'all are doing, thanks.

you can get the FM transmitter but if you want the best quality of sound then go to mp3yourcar.com and buy the kit.

im about to order a solution in a week or so....

its a blitzsafe adapter that plugs into the back of the radio and comes out as an ipod cable...connecting right to the bottom of the ipod and giving you the best possible sound quality.

I'll probably be getting the hardwired kit I just wish it didn't take the place of my cd changer. I may research a may that I can just plug and unplug each of these devices.

Dension Icelink+ makes your iPod pretend it's a CD-changer, even for a lot of OEM HU's.

You can control the iPod from the HU, or controls on the steering wheel.

Instead of swapping my Concert CC for an aftermarket CD player, I might go for an iPod with icelink connection.

See Dension.

Has anyone tried it?

I have a chorus casette deck.

The alternatives for me are:
1. get an OEM cd-changer
2. swap the chorus with an aftermarket CD player (+wiring, dash kit and adapters for antenna and active speakers)
3. iPod and dension connection

A good CD headunit with all the necessary wiring and adapters will be quite expensive, and so will the OEM CD-changer.
The major benefit will be that i have access to ALL my CDs in the car + i get an iPod to use elswhere.

I have to see what i can afford after x-mas.....
