This is the kind of crimp connector(s) youll want to use for on the back of the gauge/wiring. And I dont think there is a specific +/- terminal on the back of the gauge. Just hook one wire for positive (12v power source)and one for negative(ground). But Im sure you already knew all that.

It is. I have a 99.5 and mine are still red. In 2000 they switched to the white and red. My friends have both a 2000 and an 01 and both have the white.

EDIT: I just ran out to my car and I was wrong, I do have the red gauges. they're white during the day, but red when the lights are on and it's dark. my bad.
