Can anybody tell me how to clean the throttle body on my 99' A4 2.8 quattro? thanks

by spray only, I use break spray or similar but you need to get behind the throttle flap or butterfly valve to clean it right otherwise the carbon build up make the flap stick which causes rev problems

but how do access the butterfly valve? i have throttle body cleaner, i just dont know how to access the butterfly valve

Take the hose off at the throttle body and you should see the big buterfly valve, manually open it with your hand and spray the living **** out of it.

Should probably do a throttle body adjustment afterward.

It doesnt seem to be that easy

Ok, first, you did not search, beacuse Ive posted this a million and one times, just the other day in fact.

But, then, Im a 1.8t anyway.

The hose(s) going from the air intake to the engine. remove fromthe engine side. Thats your TB.

Thats not him though, he's 2.8.

DUH Im drunk. woops sorry. Im still laughing though.
