Car: 98 A4 1.8T manual.
Is it normal for the throttle body to hum when the key is turned to the ON position? This humming is pretty loud and lasts for about 20 seconds. Sounds kinda like a solenoid.

Maybe it has to do with your idle. I didn't have the humming noise, but when I had to replace my idle I also replaced the throttle body. Is it cold where you live?
