Okay This is really starting to bug me I have a ticking/tapping comign from trans. Loudest by the trans drain plug, goes away when clutch is fully engaged or car is parked on a slope. I have no idea what it could be and all teh transmission shops are full until late next week. What could this be? My mechanic said a while back it could be a input shaft bearing bad but I have never heard of that. Any suggestions?

 

I have no idea what it is but i'm sure it would help if you put model, year, fwd or quattro in your sig.
