well the basics, check the car over for damage, repair records, how often oil was changed, damage inside car? look @ the engine make sure all is good. tires tread and brake wear. little things like how does the shifting feel? does the shifter have a lot of movement when in gear? (could be a sign of bad motor/trans mounts). on test drive no music listen to the enigine, anything sound weird.
anyways that is my 2 cents. hope it helps.

Yeah im staying away from anything besides stock. I dont like cars that have been tampered with. Im planning to get it by the end of the week. I was going to get the 2005 B7 but i much rather get the B5 S4 that machine is beautiful.

if you have the cash for the B7... get the B7. yeah, the B5s are beautiful, but i personlly have a very hard time choosing a favorite of the two... so then... why not go for the one with a pair more cylinders?

I went to the dealership yesterday they want 19,000 For a 2001 S4 the Yellow one with 45K he said thats the best deal he will give me. He offered to little for my car so im gonna let my Civic go for 8,000 if he takes it. Hopefully i will have my new S4 by the end of the week. And ill have to say bye to my Civic. O well i'll still keep my A4.

Yeah hopefully they give me the credit im gonna put down the car and like 3k more so ill be putting down an 11,000 down payment. Im really hoping it goes through. I put 300 down yesterday for security just so they dont sell it. I Cant wait. I might end up keeping my A4 to cause i commute 40 mins to work everyday and dont want to use the S4 as a daily driver.
