Default timing belt

I have a 2002 Audi A4 3.0 Quattro, with 100,000 miles on it....basically time for a timing belt switch.....I live in Minneapolis, MN and dealers are quoting me $1400 to $1700 for the service, replacing the timing belt, two tensioners and the water pump. Does anyone know of a place in the Twin Cities (Minnesota) metro area where I can get the job done for less? I had an independent repair shop quote $1250...but that seems expensive too.

I'm also thinking of getting my spark plugs changed out, for good measure...and suggestions on if this is a good idea?

Any help would be appreciated.....the quotes seem very expensive.

I am down in Cincinnati, Ohio so I don't have any suggestions for local places but the dealership repair shop quoted me around $1,500.

$1250 is a good price.. It takes quite a few hours to do.
