Default TIming Belt

I just did the airbox mod with 2 layer of dry wall net instead of mosqito screen...it works pretty well too..... and it sure sound bit louder...can't wait to put on the forge tomo.....ha....just want to share this with you guys...
and i was reading posts about timing belt change...It seems like a serious matter on Audi.
When i got my car the dealer told me it's got a new timing belt...but i dont' want to take any risk so i want to find out is there any way i can check if i need a timing belt replacement or can i get it from the engine code reader??

thankx

Dry wall?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!? You sure you are using the correct word/term for what you used?? Dry wall is what walls are made from!! The only way to tell if you have the updated timing belt tensioner is to take off the front engine cover that the timing belt is behind. Im pretty sure thats hard to do without getting half way through the process anyway. You can take the top part of the front cover out and see the belt, but thats really not as important as seeing the updated tensioner further down bellow behind the cover.

ya i am using the dry wall fiber...u know the thing u use to fix hole on the wall...u put the fiber on it and put patch on the top...it looks kinda like mosqito screen...but it's white...
it's relaly nice stuff....it's kinda sticky too...and holds in place.....i also used doubleside tape to sercure it ...
I just came back from test drive...wow...sure sound a lot louder...but still can't really hear the turbo under 4500RPM....but i'm still very satify with it...

checking timing belt sounds like a lot of work....i think i should get a manual....do you guys all using bentley manul/??
it's so expensive though....does those other cheap one works as well as bentley??
