Timing belt
Been awhile since I've visited, got an '99 2.8. What am I looking at replacing with the timing belt. Have been getting different opinions such as water pump, rollers, etc. How many miles should it be done at? If possible, ballpark price. Thanks!

RE: Timing belt
Yes, you are going to want to replace the belt tensioner roller waterpump etc. Buy a timing belt kit and you will be set.
You should do it around 80,000 miles.
It's going to cost you ballpark $800-1000. More if you go to Audi, less if you have a Euro Mechanic do it. Way less if you can do it yourself.
If you do a search, you'll find all the info. you could ever want about the timing belt.
