Default timing belt

as a noob it looks like the most discussed topic on these forums and alot of people have asked how hard is it to diy but my question is how easy is it to screw up?
lets say you've got decent mechanical knowlage, all tools, all parts, 2 days and great patience is it worth a try to diy?
sorry about all the posts just tryin to gain as much knowlage as possible

Hell yea. For a novice wrencher I wouldn't recommend it but if you know what your doing and you have the right tools its definitely worth doing. If thats not enough to convince you, consider the money you would pay to have the stealership do it.

definitely a DIY if you feel "confident" you will learn so much about you engine and save so much money ( even the bast can make mistakes ) when tired and a bird wanders past with a mini skirt on and you under the car WOW I think they do it on purpose

if you have mechanical skills, torque specs & all the parts, then it's not hard- just time consuming.

just DIY, save money, gain knowledge, if u have worked on cars before and have done like a honda's timing belt, or mitsubishi u shouldn't have to many problems, besides how tight everything is!!!
