Default Timing belt question

Hey all

2000 A4 1.8T with 62k I'm about to do the timing belt service & I was thinking about changing the stock pulley for one of the lighter pulley at ECS.com. But so far what I have been reading is making me change my mind. So Please can yall comment on the lighter pulley the risk & the factor & would it hurt the engine instead of making more faster. Is it safe to change it or not, or should I leave the stock pulley in instead. I read somewhere in here that the lighter pulley will unbalance the engine & end up breaking it down. The last thing I want to do to my girlfriend. Im only trying to get the car to drive like it should fast & unbreakable for a long time. So for the expert please let me know much about the light pulley cause I want to order the parts soon.

hmmm to my knowledge a lighter pully will be safe and getting rid of unsprung weight is always a plus.

I don't really thing that the pully will unbalace the engine, seeing as its attached to the "balancer". Also, just as a side note. when I did my timing belt and had the crank pully off, I noticed that it already weighed about nothing so I really don't see how much lighter you could make it. Oh yeah, Thank God DavidK isn't here, he would argue this untile it got into a fist fight. HAHAHA Good times.
