Default Timing belt, and what else?

I am going to have my timing belt replaced, and heard that it is a lot of labor and they have to basically dismount the entire front end. So i figured while the
mechanic was down there or in there he could replace other things as well so i dont have to pay all that labor again. My 2001 1.8T has about 100K. Are there any other serivces
i should have the mechanic perform before he puts it all back together?

Thanks-

they will charge you regardless for each item fitted, timing belt/ tensioner/ serpentine belt and tensioner/ water pump/ coolant/ oil and filter, check around for the best price and even provide your own parts to cut the cost ( Audi wont do that )

An independent mechanic should charge around $750
for all the above.

I will def have them do the timing belt/ tensioner/ serpentine belt and tensioner/ water pump/ coolant/ oil and filter.

But what is a snub mount?

Also what about denso iridiums?

Wouldnt it cost me less labor in hours if they changed all this while doing the timming belt? Therefore reduce the total cost?

Yeah, that's the idea. Do all this in one sitting.

ORIGINAL: Riko

But what is a snub mount?
It's a hard rubber piece on the front of the engine. An aftermarket upgrade (about $50) will decrease the engine movement when accelerating and decelerating.
