Default Tint & Auto-dimming mirrors?

My sport package came with the Auto-dimming mirrors. And from what it looks like i believe i can see the sensor under-neath the rear-view(center-winshield). It doesn't appear as though the side mirrors have individual sensors, which would make sense considering any bright headlights would most easily be picked up in the sensor directly through the rear window.

-So, my first question is, am i correct in assuming my auto-dim for all 3 mirrors (center and both side) are controlled off of that single sensor i see on the bottom of my rear-view?

-And next, wouldn't a tint make that sensor see the bright headlights less and make your auto-dim of the side mirrors ineffective?

Any of you guys have tinted windows and the auo-dimming mirrors? Do the side mirrors give you any probs.?

yes you are correct there is a wire that goes off of the rear view mirror that controls the side mirrors. I can't imagine tint would make much difference unless we are talking limo.

Yes, I have the auto dimming mirrors and my windows tinted. I only noticed a slight diference because the back hatch window is darker than side windows. Not a big deal though.
