hey all,
i was just wondering if anyone knew what to look for in getting tinted windows...price.type..etc. Also does anyone know where to get tint installed in MA. Also, i have heard if you do it yourself it generally comes out shitty, has anyone tinted their car by themselves?..thanks

 

I did the little windows in the rear pretty easy but doing any other windows PITA.

 

30% is common.. I have 56%, and there isnt a huge difference between the 2, mine is a little more mild i guess.. I paid around $190 for a quality job with a life time warranty against bubling or color change. Not real sure what % arifs windows are but they are close to mine -

5% all the way around...the windows are black, cant even see in during day time...and its keeps SOOOOO much heat out of my car...in AZ summer, thats a big deal.

do you have trouble seeing out the windows during the night

 

ya its not the easiest to see outta my windows at night, but its not to the point where its dangerous...if im a situation where I need to see out and its really hard to see out, ill just roll my window down.

 

5%, Are those even legal? How often do you get pulled over for your windows?

Did anyone tint theirs themself? I actually tried for about 2 hours over the weekend and it truly is a great PITA I couldnt get anything right and I have done this before. The driver and passenger windows kept getting stuck on the part of the window closest to the mirror. Anyone get it to work? Did you take off the door panel? How do you get off the door panel? Thanks for any help.
