tinting curiousity
Okay now ive been wondering this for a while now and i just have to know. I know people on this site have had to had seen the show Unique Whips on speed channel. Has anyone ever notice when they tint cars they tint them on the outside of the window versus the inside. I have heard that the tint will peep off in a short time. What i dont understand is a high end shop doing tint for high profile customers must know what they are doing right? So is tinting on the outside okay or has anyone ever experimented with it? Please lemme know.
i used to watch that show, and i haven not seen them tint on the outside of the car but if you watch the way they do things it's always a little bit ghetto. like how they repaint the whole interior and it seems to peel off 8 times and not match in the end. i dont know how they keep all there customers. it goes to show that if it looks shiny i guess people will like it. i no longer watch the show
Usually when you see tint on the outside of the window, what they do is place it on the outside and cut it to the size especially on the rear windshield. They wet the tint that way and bring it on the inside than apply the actual tint from the inside! Its pointless to have it outside it would just get damaged
but thats what iam saying i saw him tint it on the outside. He appllied the film on the outside of every window even the sunstrip in the front. All done on the outside of the window he wasnt just cutting it he appllied it also. Thats what i couldnt understand because ive heard the same thing Yall are saying. But i was just wondering if it actualyl works>?
Those guys are retarded than! LOL no excuse, it is pretty stupid to put it on the outside, I am sorry if you guys like the show...but if they do that they should be kicked of the air, I bet they charge an arm and a leg for the interior tint, or even doughnuts, the owner seems pretty damn huge for his size and thats not from the wealth and eating wellLOL. USELESS
ive noticed that too, and originally i thought it was just to get the size, but then i noticed them applying it to the outside. ive been to the shop before and i can tell you they know what their doing there(except interior paint ill give you that) which is why there may be some reason in doing it other then just stupidity. i would say ill go and ask tommrow but i dont have a car...so any tinters on the site that can help?
