I've allways stuck with the factory tires for mine.

-Michelin Pilot Sports 225/45/17, for the summer
-Michelin Pilot Alpin 225/45/17, for snow

the pilot sports are Z rated and i can account for how excellent they handle..
between the tires and the quattro i dont hesitate to take it fast through the turns, WITH CONFIDENCE.
i have heard alot of people say good things about those P-zero's though. i just never driven them.

but i am glad you didn't say that you were putting "all-seasons" on it..
why would anyone have such a superb handling vehicle and then cripple it with some compromising all-season tires??

I currently have blizacks :-p on my car. The fronts are nice because they are still on there winter compund but the rears are no better than all seasons. Next year I am getting the pilot. One thought I had was I don't have the money atm for another set of rims. So would it be much of a problem to switch the rubber back and fourth for summer/winter? anyone else do this? As for perelli, I have herd several people say the sidewalls are just not what they should be for a handling car. I have seen several photos of sidewall blow-outs after hitting POT HOLES. Come on that is a common road hazard, your tires should be up to the task. I would much rather get a good set of michellin, a friend has some on his car and it does alot better than my car as far as traction. All in all though no matter what tires you put on there you will be better than those front/rear wheel drive cars.

my Pilot Alpin's were FANTASTIC this winter !!
Philly got about 2-3 good storms, 8-12 inches with the largest, and took the car out for a drive right in the middle of every single one of them.
the Pilot Alpin's were GREAT !!
and when there wasn't snow on the ground i do have to admit, they DID handle EXTREMELY well for a snow tire and didn't find them to be noisey at all (unlike the Blizzaks)
