Tire choice
thanks man. yeah, between you and neil (hi neil!
) it's like trying to listen to an excited 5 yr old talking about some frog. yeah, punctuation and time goes a long way. it isn't MSN, so no one's on the edge of their seat waiting for your next post; so there's no need to worry about how fast you get it out there

I had 225/55/16 Z rated from Dulop on the stockers and now i run 235/35/19 also Z rated.
Quarttro is the best! once i had almost 4ft of snow here in boston this year. and i decided to test the awd system. i got my self into the car and had no way to go.
I had snow well over my bumper and i was stuffed in. Repeatly going back and forth and turning the wheel i mananged to move from my front grass to almost the street!. iT was well 3 car lengths until all the snow i ran over built up under the car and i finnaly got stuck with the front end sticking over out into the street.

i would not recommend pirelli p-zero's my friend had them and they have such a low wear rating that they wore out in 25000 miles... i have yokohama es-100 if you don't drive in the snow they are extremely good in the drive and amazing in the rain
Ugh I think the 9090's are NOISY, and fairly lack-luster in performance... Pilots are alright, but are over-rated in my opinion... on my cars of the past, I've had pilots, potenza's, firehawks, falkens, hankooks... and the firestone firehawk SZ50's were the best I've ever used by far. Their rain performance is outstanding, and they have great wear! the p zero nero's look sweet, though I've never ridden them.
In winters I have nokian hakkepelitta's... and they are AMAZING. They are better than the pirelli's, and michelin arctic alpins I've used. (though blizzaks are apparently amazing as well). in my experience though, ALL winter tires do a good job in the snow... wear, is the big deal with them. Some last 4 winters, some last like 1.5.
Back to summers, check tirerack.com for the reviews... they rank every category of tires. For me, noise and wear are most important. If you drive your car hard... then you'll get more handling capability, but sacrafice both noise, and wear.
Decisions decisions!
Oh the toyo T1S is my current fav (the firehawks are discontinued -- if you can find some firehawk SZ50's, buy em up!)
