Default Tires

I'm new to this forum. What's your recommendation for a set of tires for '97 A4 1.8T Quattro. I had a set of Dunlop Sport A2 tires but they wore off so quickly!

I use Falken Ziek 512. It was great in the snow (when new), not sure about the coming winter. I paid less than CDN$100 per tire installed.

Specify summer or all seasons, and your budget.

I have Fuzion ZRi and I love them. I paid $75 a tire off of tirerack. I haven't noticed any signs of uneven treadwear, road noise is minimal, and the cornering is great. I can make them sing but it seems almost impossible to make them break loose. What size tires are you running now?

As I've said before, for summer all around performance, the Firestone Firehawk SZ50EP is the best tire on the planet... This tire question has been brought up several times, and each time I've suggested the firehawk.
They are discontinued, the new firehawk wide oval is the replacement for the SZ50EP...
but i found the SZ50ep's last weekend, at a great price.

I have been using sumitomo htr+ with great success, great in the rain and snow, great on cornering grip, sidewall is pretty sturdy. I paid about $88 a tire for 225/45 r17 on tirerack.

Thanks guys! I'm looking for all seasons 225/45/r17 tires. Is GY Eagle RSA any good? I can get employee discount.

RSA is OEM on the older B5 audi's I think... was OK, nothing stellar though. You get discount on Goodyear, or tires in general?

All seasons... Hmm, I pretty much know nothing of all seasons... living in canada, I've decided that there is no such thing as an all season tire, regardless of what classification they give it.

Anyone has any experience using Good Year's Assurance Triple Tred? The tire appears to have got very reviews but not sure they are suitable for A4 1.8T Q.
