the g35 is the skyline?!?!?! that's terrible. that car doesn't compare to the older skyline. my friend's dad has a new g35 and it's nice...it's no skyline though, that's for sure.

yea the new gt-r is supposed to be a different model all together (although spy shots show the g35 being all gussied up as the new gtr) and under the nissan name, not infiniti. only time will tell, hopefully a totally different body style than the g35 and ive heard they want to keep w/ the 4 circle tails, but unlikely, and almost definately on the same platform, which seems kinda sad that it shares it with the fairlady. not to take anything away from the 350, its just the gtr is supposed to be a japanese supercar somewhat, a league above the fairlady.

i agree. the nissan skyline is basically the ultimate sports car in japan. that thing was amazing. this new g35 thing better live up to the skyline name...

well, the n/a engine makes slightly less power than the rb26dett did in the gtr,but not a ton less, the suspension is not radically changed, and the X model i think its called gets the attessa awd system found in the gtr, so its not too far off to have a great car out of it, the only real huge departure from the last skyline is the styling, its more european sedan than sportscar. you throw on some turbos, the getrag 6spd found in the last skyline and supra, the awd system, the brembos that it already has and you have something compareable to the last skyline gtr.
