is it too late to upgrade?
ok, so ive had my audi for about a year now, and im just getting to the point to were i have the money to throw an eliminator kit on it. i have 101k on it now and i was wondering if you think it is too late to upgrade the turbo on a motor with over 100k. i really dont want to have to rebuild anytime soon. if its not too late what should i check out maitnance wise before putting it in? thanks
I would NEVER put any BT on an A4 with front trac (fwd.) You wont be able to put the power down very well. Once it starts to boost, forget about traction. If it were me, Id sell that get a 99.5 tqm and go crazy. 00/01+ arent exactly ideal for tuning either due to it being DBW and having a MAP sensor. But to answer the real question, no, 100k miles aint ****.
Oh and if you follow through with it, make sure you have a dedicated account just for new tires. You wont be able to rotate them fast enough [8D]

Seriously, b00000stedaudi on audizine has a GTRS frontrak, and there was a video of his 1st and second gears, NO traction.
It was kinda cool seeing the speedomter @ 50mph while he's going 15 though.

everyone has always told me that but the traction in first and second doesnt really bother me. let me ask you this, because i was always curious. whats the difference between and fwd a4 bt maybe putting down 260 to the wheels, and maybe a fwd bt eclipse with 300 to the wheels. i personally dont see much difference and obviously they dont care about tires because there is millions of bt eclipses out there. i have never heard anyone complain before. this is not to seem rude, seriously im not trying to. im just curious. im also asking because my friend has a 300hp eclipse fwd.
