Default Is this too much money?

I called my local Audi Giac shop Tyrol Sport and they told my that for everything they would charge me $500. Now is that overpriced or is that good, because thats alot of money and if I can save money that will be good.

What is "everything" I know most chips are $499 but if I remember correctly Giac is $399 for ndbw. If it's chip and dv, depending on the dv it's a normal price.

Sorry I was at work. Ok well I needed to know if $500 for chip and "labor" was worth it? I dont think a DV is included, I asked the gu how much he charged and he told me $500 cash and I'll have my car in an hour.

he's chargin you 100 to just solder a chip in. i would check around town for other places. or you can go the speedtuning route which is only 150, but you wont have your car for a few days

Can you get it flashed instead of the chip? Might save some $$ but you still get the GIAC program. That's what I had done to my S4 but it cost me $650, $599 for the program and $51 for labor and taxes (even though it took him 2 hours cuz he was having trouble with it)

GIAC is $400 for pre-2000 vehicles (97-99.5). It is $500 for 2000-2001.5

2001 should be the year flashloading option came into effect, atleast according to awetunings web site.

you should get a new dv along with your chip since it probably won't last to long with the upgraded boost.

what year is your car anyway?
