can someone tell me were to buy the tool for the rear calipers?

Wherever you buy it, make sure it is the right tool. I bought one a couple years back and Autozone gave me the wrong one and swore that it was correct. I would be safe and get it online. jja listed a great site to use.

rent it from napa. I think this is what onepoint8tee did. it works just fine

 

just use a really big screwdriver, thats what I do. I but new pads in and use screw driver to compress.

 

alright theres a napa right down the road for me, i might just rent it seems how i have to do the a6 and the a4 and so i wont probably need it again for a long time after that. Mine as well spend that money on the timing belt kit. thanks for the help!

 

also is there any write ups on doing the rear calipers? or is it similar enough to the fronts were i can figure it out?
