torn steering column and broken wheel bearing???
Hi All,I drive a 2002 A4 1.8T Quattro with 72K miles and apparently have a broken wheel bearing and my steering column is torn and leaking grease. Both of things are now be replaced at a cost of $1,000. Has any one ever experienced this before. It doesn't seem to me that this should be normal wear and tear. Is it worth contacting AOA?
The problem originated from an awful grinding sound on the front drivers side when turning corners. Any insight is much appreciated. Have a great day.

Never heard of the steering column going bad. I had a noise that
I thought was coming from the steering column. It was coming
from the steering rack.
