Default tornado... 2.8 intakes

hey everybody,
has anyone ever put a tornado or turbnado in thier a4? i have a 99 2.8 5spd, and am looking to pick up one to go along with an intake. also, how much of a difference is an evo cold air 2.8 intake over a K&N, if i am running an N/A 2.8 with minor mods.
Thanks!

Gimick... Dont fall for it. It will work just as well as the chips sold on ebay for $20 that claim 40hp.

It claims to "tornado" the air going into the intake allowing more air and efficient burn. In reality it just creates a more turbulent intake which in turn ruins the efficiency. My lil bro bought 1 after i told him not too and was getting worse gas mileage and performance.

yea i heard about falling MPG, but i would have thought the added atomization would be a benefit... you get what you pay for lol! any suggestions for low budget [college budget ] upgrades for the 2.8?

lol i like that acetrebo. as far as the tornado thing goes, i almost fell off my seat when i saw your question. its a complete piece of garbage. also the only relatively cheap "performance" mod for the 2.8s would probably be go get a cone intake and make yourself a nice heat shield. other than that GOOD LUCK

No cheap go fast mods for the 2.8, sorry. If you want more power on a restricted/college budget, sell it and get a 1.8t and build it up as you get the money. You can get a used chipped ecu for $300 ish, an exhaust/high flow cat/test pipewill give more gains on a turbo charged engine than a N/A. Not to mention all the different turbo upgrades available... Your options are very limited with the 2.8. Nothing worth doing to it (power wise)other than a super charger imo.
