my friend got into an accident last week and the front end of the audi is gone. The frame is shifted which sucks. The auto repair person said they cannot fix it. The front bumper is gone with fog lights and the radiator fluid leaked because the mount and connection got disjointed. The engine has very low miles 54k and transmission is manual. Everything else is fine. The question is, since my friend is forced to sell for parts, how much do you'll think I'll get. Should I sell the whole car or sell in parts? I'll post pictures a little later. But here is a summary:

Font bumper gone
fog lights gone
headlights are working
engine is intact with radiaotor mount disturbed
front frame is hanging with the whole front frame shifted to the right
everything else is in mint condition
air bags didn't deploy
interior works perfectly
the back part is perfect

You'd probably get more for parts, but.... Do you have the space to rip the car apart? Do you have the patience to unbolt everything and mail it piece by piece?

 

part it out.. piece by piece on ebay.. ect.. you will get a lot more for it.. but it will take a lot of time....

Ill buy the spoiler.. if it had one??

 

Which engine does it have, and did it sustain any damage? There is alot of demand for 1.8Ts because of the sludge problem.

I, too, vote for parting it out, if you can deal with all of the issues this entails. Otherwise, sell it to an auto recycler, who will make most of the money, but who may be better equipped to part it out.

Your dash gauges, climate/security control unit, window regulators, seats, rear wheels, tail light assemblies, spare tire, radio, etc. are probably OK and worth at least something.
