Totaled the car...
Glad to hear you are OK.
I love the brand, the quattro and the power... but I bought the car because of safety and airbags. I have been in a rollover in an '88 Toyota pickup (MY '88 Toyota pickup that my frosh year collegiate roomate was driving) and rear-ended on a highway to ruin yet another '88 Toyota pickup. Those doors are "wafer thin" and I conisder myself lucky to be here after the first one.
Never forget we are driving great cars that are also safe. If you hit that pole a couple of feet the other direction you would be wailing about broken legs at the minimum. Be thankful for German engineering and attention to safety. It's truly a sad day that another A4 bites the dust but another will be purchased in its place...
Godspeed.

Glad to hear u are ok, sorry bout the car! i had jetta and had two major accidents in it (not at fault) and it amazed me what it did to american and jap cars... all the paramedics said they hold up the best!
The road was wet as it was drizzling and yes i was being a dumbass. This is the first time i have ever wrecked anything after 4 yrs of driving, and ive ran it through my head a million times, just to think if I could have done somthing different, but whats done is done, I just have to walk away w/ a very valuable lesson. I do consider myself very lucky, if I would have hit the pole on my door, I most likely wouldnt be alive, but for the most part the car did hold up very well. For me to walk away w/o a scratch, and my passenger as well I think is just amazing.
I also want to say thanks to everyone on this forum for their support through this dramatic period, I dont quite think it has really hit me as to what really happened, it will probably sink in my mind after I have some time to really think about it, but I am very grateful to be alive.
God bless you all.
God bless you all.
holy **** man. glad that ur ok. just a foot to the left and you might not be alive. how fast were you takin that turn if you hit the pole at 40-50? ya losin the car sucks especially after doing all those costly repairs to it, but at least now you can get a 1.8T or an s4
