Default Touch up Paint too Dark? Maybe not...

I've applied some touch up paint to my beige a4 avant and it appears too dark. The touch up spot is easily detected. Does anyone know if applying the included clear coat will lighten it up and match? Has anyone had this problem? Any advice?

How old is the paint, if its old enough it will actually be different than the body color, I learned that the hard way with the Discovery =/

It really depends where you kept the paint, I kept mine in the glove box, exposed to all sorts of temperatures, the paint is much darker than the body now.

I kept mine in the house in a drawer. I'll try to put the clear coat on and see if it lightens the touch up spot, I doubt it though. If that doesn't work then I'll buy a new bottle of paint. If it still doesn't work I'll shell out $300 and have a shop patch and re-spray my rear bumper [:@] *ouch*

Well....

I had a guy fix the spots and re-spray the whole bumper for $150. Not too bad a price but I wonder if I got what I paid for. Can't guite tell but it looks like the paint is a little uneven, darker in some spots lighter in others. I've gotta wait 'til it fully dries to be sure. Still, it's better than it was!
