Hey Guys
I have a similar question. I went to AUDI and asked them to flush my tranny fluid and stuff (99 2.8 Q), but they said its a sealed unit and that I dont need to change it/flush it..DOES THAT MAKE ANY SENSE? Do you guys know what they are talkign about?

Thats Strange, I was at the dealer the other day and I asked about the tranny service kit
and was told it was about 300$C for the job and that the change 2 gaskets and the strainer or filter, I guess dealerships work different from place to place
But I belive the quality of the oil will not remain the same for the life of the car due
to the weather, heat and wear of moving parts
So If I were you i would start looking for a different dealer or Service Shop to look after your car instead of a bunch of monkeys .

Yeah...I went to QUEENSWAY AUDI (located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada). That is weird? I guess I will cal them again and ask for that "tranny service kit"

Technically the tranny fluid is labled as a "lifetime fluid", but for all practical purposes it's not. I suppose you could get away with never changing it, but once you do you'll see why it's a good idea.
