Default Tune up...fuel/air filters

Hey, I have a 2000 1.8T quattro all stock @ 73k miles. Im thinking about putting in a KN filter (33-2125), and a new fuel filter (everyone says its a good idea). Is this KN really going to give me some noticeable power? Is it a total bitch to put in ? (im a total nublet at playing around under the hood) Also, what kind of fuel filter do I want, and can I do that myself too?

K&N filter just replaces your stock filter - just take the old one out and put the new one in.

fuel filter
here is a DIY > http://www.audiworld.com/tech/eng49.shtml
