I never expected to beat the guy or even keep up. I just didn't expect to loose by a 100 yards!

Is the 2.0T engine facing a different way to the 2.0T golfs like it was in the 1.8T A4's?

Cos the new GTI's (with the 2.0T) have been mapped over here in the UK. They get about 250bhp so should be bloody fast!!

Could you post a pic of the B7 2.0T engine please Jestnomen. I wonder if these engines are anywere neer as strong as the 1.8T's.

This might be sacrilege on Audiforums.com, but, uh, no. The STi weighs 3263 pounds. It's tough enough to take 500hp using stock internals. To run with an STi, i.e. 4.6 seconds 0-60, and a 13.3 quarter mile, you will need some serious equipment. Our cars will need a ****-ton of help to "totally dominate" EVOs and STis.

Not trying to start something, just pointing out that these cars are simply better performance machines for less money than the cars that we have. Japanese performance cars aren't just cheap shitboxes with engine swaps. No need to be resentful and start making up facts to make ourselves feel secure or whatever in our choice of automobiles.
