Which turbo would you suggest? Im seeing a lot of the K04.....what kind of numbers would that put out? does anyone know? i cant find that information. Ive also found the E05....what do you think of that? from my understanding thats just a bigger verson of the K04. correct me if im wrong. im just trying to figure out how much power i would get out of one of these systems. or give me ideas for other systems. these appeal to me cause they arnt to expensive, which is nice

you can only push so much psi without having to switch out your internals. The K04 (with exhaust) will give you around 235-240hp.

Are you chipped yet?

well if you got $5k you can get the disco potato turbo from www.goapr.com AKA gt28 I beleive? I know it by its prototype name "disco Potato" Ive been readin bout it for a couple of years now but in any case you cant miss it its the only $4500 turbo kitapr sells for 1.8T A4

BTW Ive heard of people puttin out 400hp on stock internals before meltdown.....but Im not sure it wouldve been to reliable.....at least thats what I heard

Everyone has heard stories , but 400hp is not likely on stock internals. They had to have changed some things. But the 1.8t is a tough little engine and you can get away with more stock parts than on most engines.

what have you guys heard about the E04? is it any better than the K04? from my understandings it just a little bit bigger. would this help out at all? im not really willing to spend 5k. i was looking into the lexus is300 but aftermarket turbos and stuff are around 7k. so i was trying to find something that wasnt quite so much money. then i found the E04 for 2,200. which to me sounds like a great deal. id be happy to be pushing 260 hp. or 280. i wouldnt like to have much more than that. just alittle something more than stock.

keep in mind that turbo lag increases significantly the bigger the turbo gets. Many people that have gone even to K04's have complained the car is fairly undrivable in the city (I quote from an old Audizine post "Get on the highway and my car screams, but now even soccer moms in mini vans can beat me off a red light.")
