huh... its so pointless to try and make any power with a 12v, put on an intake for a nice sound, drop it, 5% tint, 18's, debadge, 1piece headlights, 99-01 tail's, rs4 grille w/ painted trim, and painted lowers...thats pretty much it for us 2.8's.

anything after that is just overkill...or pointless...

 

oh it can be done there used to be a guy on az that did some amazing things with 12v, like **** tons of power, like strokers, cams custom intake, custom headers, standalone fule, all kindsa good stuff and they were insane

 

for real? he could have probably bought another audi for the price he spent on all that stuff.

good point drop it make it handle like a dream , intake (look up beer mod intake) that's it its class w/ enough torque to spin awd in winter as dont waste ur money for mods. i have a 12v looks good its not a rocket but... if u want to go fast dont get a 1.8t four banger+AWD= garbage i dont care how much money u put in it s4 2.7 tt is the answer. my 12v will go to my wife, next getting some money toghather to get an s4. cause for the amount of money that people drop in 1.8t they could of easliy bought used s4.

I am thinking about doin it with my 97, just lessen the compression, it can hurt your engine, but if you feel lucky, do it. The problem with the 96-97 is the compression is too high, and a turbo is not worth it because you will be runnin' at max about 2.5 psi.
