Well this is the way I figure it, since not too many companies build parts for Audis in this sense, it's going to be about 3 times more expensive to have the parts fabricated. If it were a Honda, you can be boosting for as little as $300. But still, I have friends that have spent $20,000 on their powertrain alone. So it's all a matter of you well you want to do it.
For a 2.8Liter V6 in an A4... Figure this:
Golden Eagle Bottom End: $7,500 or so. They'll have to develope a sleeve design, Arias/JE/CP will have to custom produce proper pistons, wrist pins and rings, Golden Eagle would have to custom design and produce proper rods, they would also have to design and produce a crankshaft. The block would have to go through quite a bit to get it able to accept any kind of power. Then you'll need strengthened hardware... No company makes these. ARP would have to custom design a set.
RLZ Heads: $5,000-$6,000 or so per head. They'd do their thing with the port and polish work, Supertech or a company of the sort would have to design and produce titanium valves/springs/retainers, not to mention you'll have to get a custom set of Camshafts designed and produce, Crower does great custom work, at a nice price.
Full-Race Turbocharger System: They do great custom Turbocharger kits for anywhere from $4,500 on up to $10,000+. Keep that in mind.
Full Aeromotive Fuel System: Figure you'll need an Aeromotive FP/FF/FPR/-6an SS Lines, a custom fuel rail, and you'll probably need some nice sized injectors from RC Engineering, and now you'll probably need one Hell of a Stand-Alone EMS... The 036 System should work, it's only $1,400 or so, so that's the least of your worries right? Then you'll have to find someone to tune it, P1 or Church Automotive could do it... Figure about 12 hours worth of tuning, at about $150 per hour.
So after all of that work, you'd maybe be able to squeeze 500whp-700whp. But keep in mind, after about 500whp, it's no longer efficient, and the thing will need to be tuned and twirked constantly just to keep it running. So in the end, does this make any sense?
Then do you think your stock Suspension and Brakes be able to handle this new power? Nope...

This would be a very pointless project, unless you have the money/time/skill and you're looking to prove something.

On a conservative budget minded build 300 hp shouldn't be that hard to conquer for under 6k.
A few easily accessible used parts can be used to make it a lot cheaper.
A t3/T4 50/63 is plenty sufficient for 300 hp.

034EFI standalone- Lets make it a hefty round about price of $1800
Turbo, t3/t4 50/63 - $700
Suitable injectors (you do the math on exact size, you could probably use [6] 1.8T injectors) $2-300
El Cheapo yet effective IC - $300
Random Piping - $500 ($2-300 if you canweld by yourself)
Custom manifold - $500
Custom exhaust - $3-400
Misc parts since I don't feel like listing everything - $1500
That's $5300 and can be done a lot cheaper.
