from the passat guy

Here are some #'s for "new" stuff.
used parts might be sourced cheaper. (I did)
or free if you have nice friends

S4 k03 Turbos 2200.00
S4 Exhaust manifolds 1160.00
S4 Turbocharger inlet pipe set $ 390.00
S4 intake manifold $500.00
Custom downpipes $1500.00
Custom intake parts $400.00
Oil pan set $500.00
Oil drain lines $160.00
Coolant hoses and freeze plug adapters $200.00
Custom oil lines and adapters $300.00
Boost controller $250
Supplies $250.00 (oil, filter, coolant, etc.)
Tip ATF cooler lines(stainless) and adapters $400.00
Software $?

Parts Total approx $8210.00
Tax $677.00
Engine pull labor and kit install $3000.00
Estimate$11887.00

That is why the idea of a "kit" is VERY unlikely.
OH and that doesn't even include the 1200 FMIC and hoses.
and larger fuel injectors and MAF housing. 500.00

I saved parts for 2 years from different jobs on S4's
SO the cost to do this was a LOT of my time and about 3000.00 in materials.

I don't have a Tip chip.
I have not really had much experience with them.
Are they worth it?

I serviced my trans at 50k
I am a maintenance FREEK.

I am working with someone on programming.
The stock code will not work.

Hope this helps you guys.
or at least proves that I am crazy enough to pull the engine
from a perfectly good running car and make it faster
with the hopes that it will work

Catcha Later,
Mike Staley

The fact the he managed to do it is impressive. The fact that he spent $11,000 and the engine looks like a clusterf*ck is not.

prolly cut cost in half with rebuilt, used parts, and if you made certain things yourself.
