well its 1.8t tip., can u give me the average price, for twin turbo, or like a good biturbo??
Why do you want two turbos? Do you even know why some cars use two turbos instead of one?

I'll put it this way: There is no average price of a 1.8T twin-turbo setup because it has never been done. It has never been done because it's stupid. I would be surprised if there was an inline-four with two turbos in existence, and I would be willing to bet that nobody has such a thing on the street.

Biturbo is the same as twin-turbo. Two turbochargers.

Please do a little research for your own sake. Try howthingswork.com.

You're starting from behind anyway with the tiptronic transmission.

the reason that the bi turbo works is sequential turbos one spools at 1 rpm and the other spools at a higher rpm... benefits of a big turbo with the lag of a little turbo

That's a show car. It's a showcase for the shop's fabrication ability. I'd be surprised if that car could run under its own power.

How do you imagin a 2.0L INLINE four would spool two turbos that size? 1.0L spinning up a turbine that's like a Vornado fan? I don't see it.

The two reasons you have two turbos are 1) Packaging and cylinder arrangement: a V-type engine is conducive to a twin-turbo setup because it has two banks of cylinders pumping exhaust out two different ports on the opposite sides of the engine, making a single-turbo setup a plumbing nightmare to fit inside the engine bay, and 2) you have a car from the early 90's, when for whatever reason a couple Japanese automakers thought that a small turbo for low-end and a larger one for high-end was more effective than one big efficient turbo. Which it was at that time. But do you see any Supra TT guys upgrading to two turbos now? One is more efficient and cost-effective than two nowadays.

You're getting the RB26DETT mixed up with the SR20DET. Nissan doesn't make a four-cylinder twin turbo set-up. Like I said, that picture is of a show car to display fabrication skillz and *****, not a viable, effective turbo setup.

I don't know why Nissan made the inline-6 twin turbo or why the aftermarket makes twin kits for that engine...but I know that twin turbo'ing an SR20 is not common practice.

I concur. This is completely ridiculous.
