Default turbo is broke. Damn this car

i have been posting with you guys about my turbo now for a couple days, and i have taken it to a mechanic and he said that the bitch isnt working. he said it might be my turbines in the turbo. he said he does not work on these types of cars. so tuesday i have an appoinment with a vw/audi specialist to look over the turbo and see whats wrong with her. but lets say that the turbo is dead and needs replacement. do you guys know hoiw much that might run me? or, lets say just the waste gate is stuck open, and the turbo is ok, just needs to be removed to get to the WG, do you guys know how much that might cost? any input would be appreciated. thanks

If the dealer has anything to do with it, at roughly $95/hour for just labor, dont expect anything inexpensive. Do you have any fault codes?

would you want to spend the money on stock turbo's or go like a KO4 kit???

maybe if it was the WG you would only ahve to change the sping thats not that much.

it should still be a lot at audi if they have to touch the turbo. i think they have to remove it to get to the wastegate? if you have the cash get a K04 bro!

the dealer will try to charge you $800 for a rebuilt k03, you can get a k04 for about 725 shipped new, and even cheaper used. The dealer will probably charge another 500$ in labor...

screw them and their rooty poo , "your rich, your bought an audi, we are going to charge you more for parts and service, that costs us 1/4 as much"

If you have a Tip and You have to get a new turbo then get a k04! You will have a new car! If its your waste gate... Spend some $ and get a better waste gate for some better power. Waste gates arent that much.
Hope all goes well. Turbos are fun (When the work) but when you get a big turbo... The sound makes me want to cry... Its soooo cool!

for a k04.

k04, software, 5bar fpr (AS Listed by AWE) adjustable reccomended, new spark plugs (not really needed, but i would run BKR6E's gapped at about .028).

And thats IT.

oh and the install kit (which is just gaskets and studs)
