You disconnected your wastegate and still had a boost drop? That is almost impossible unless there is something wrong with your wastegate and it is somehow stuck open, which isn't happening bc you said you can hold boost..........

 

your "problem" is perfectly normal. I have GIAC as well and boost at 18psi and when i had my K03 the boost began dropping at around 4800rpm
