When i go into heavy boost my turbo has been making a clicking noise. Usually it is just 2 clicks. And sometimes my boost will be very low or not even there, then another it will be boosting very well. i dont have any psi's 4 u guys cuz i dont have a boost gauge yet. I was planning on getting a Ko4 but not this soon.

 

Noises are hard to diagnose over the net.
What diverter valve do you have?
Clicking and low boost could either be DV or wastegate.

Usually the turbo going starts to give a high pitched grind like a dentist's drill.

nah nothing like that, that sounded horrible

 

i know what you are talking about.. my car did the same thing.. pinpointed it to the DV ..

 

That is the sound that mine made even when i was sitting still and reving to 4 grand.

 

If your turbo is going out you will not make adequate boost and you will be hearing alot of grinding at first and even doing any kind of pull.


is the turbo always been on stock boost if not how much have you raised it to?
