Turbo install problem
I'm trying to get the very last 2 bolts and 1 nut undone so I can rip out my K03 and install my GT2X. The pictures from the install instructions (#14A) were taken with the AC compressor removed, but the directions make no mention of that or the extra brace extending from the engine block. The 2 bolts are connecting the tubo to the oil return line on the bottom of the turbo. The last nut is connecting the turbo to the cat on the bottom side.
I'm thinking about just taking off the opposite end of the oil return line from the oil pan and pulling up with the turbo. But I still can't get to the catalytic converter nut. Part of the cat gets in the way of my ratchet and a wrench won't fit.
So, anyone have any ideas on how to get this thing out?

Hahaha, The oil return lines are the worst, wait till you have to install them
The best way is to get the nut of first, so u can rotate the turbo in a way that you can get to them with a small hex.. As for the nut on the cat, grind it off, plain and simple. I cant wait to hear your results on the gt2x, i was going go that route, but my better judgement came over me. Not having a water cooled turbo is going to be a problem in the long run. Good luck with it.

try some pentrating oil of like liquid wrench that should be able to help. Also u could heat the bolt and then try (i think i read taht it will help b/c of expanding and contracting).
to u have a joint one that will bend. Go to ur local auto parts store and look at all the things that they offer to help u do that. I work at pep boys i know we have at least 5 things to do that.
