Default Turbo lag in hot weather...

Got a new '05 1.8T Cab. I've put about 4500 miles on it by now (since April). Out west here in NorCal, the freaken' weather has been long and HOT for weeks on end now. On these days where it's 100+, (low humidity though)I've noticed a LOT more turbo log from a dead stop, to where it's almost dangerous. (You'd better not pull out in any fast moving traffic, without a lot of room..) On cool mornings...no problem, just the usual lag. What's up with this? Anybody know? It'll be going in for it's 5k service pretty soon and I'm deffinatley bringing it up, I just want to go as informed as possible.
TNX.

Yep that's the way turbo engines behave in really hot weather. Heat soak.

This is where a nice spangly IC, or a bit of water injection can help....

Heatsoke sucks! I live in Arizona so its over 100 everyday. Deff a huge loss of performance in the summer. What can we do to eliminate heatsoke? Would an FMIC get rid of this problem?

Heatsoak...'normal'..OK...[:@] I was hoping that wasn't true...
I should have mentioned I have the APR stage I program, and it's well worth it, but as far as helping this problem..it doesn't. Same same. I guess the program isn't going to change the laws of physics..

..You know, maybe this is the motivation to add that I/C sprayer made with a winshield washer pump I posted a couple of weeks back..Hmmm..

You know, like I said in the original post, I have a buddy that has worked in high peformance powertrain developmnet for 30+ years. He's always coming up with all kinds of trick little mods. On this particular one (which he has used on test "mules'), he told me a real effective (and cheap!) method was using winshield washer fluid! The ratio of alcohol to water cools suprising well.
