Default Turbo Question

I'm a first time audi buyer and was wondering if a GTSr or K04 could be put on an automatic transmission, or if I'm limited to chipping and exhaust for performance mods? I'm in a 2005 B6 1.8t quattro. Thanks for the help.

we've got a couple users with k04s on auto cars. i wouldn't recommend it though, it's pretty risky. do you have the regular auto or the CVT? if you have the cvt i would suggest leaving the engine alone, i wouldn't even chip a cvt

ya dont even think of the big turbos man
im on the same boat as you, i have a 2002 1.8s quattro tip
theres a larger turbo that PES is selling called the T28 turbo
they say it can be put on automatic cars but i doubt it would last though
i emailed them and they say it would work its an automatic wit the SPECIAL high HP tip chip but i really dont think so

if u want a turbo upgrade just stick with a K04

Where would you suggest buying a K04? It is a bolt on kit or are there serious engine mods? I've got some extra cash and I already love the car, but I figured I would put a little something extra in it if I could. Any other suggestions?

How much would it cost if I had it professionally done? I have a friend who had put 2 s/c on his trucks and could ask him, but I would want it done right. You also said it came with programming, is the revo specific for the K04 or could you do an APR or GIAC chip?

GIAC does K04, but APR does not.
