Default Turbo Question

Hey all
2000 1.8T Tip
As I was driving to work on the highway doing about 60 & all the sudden this car went flying passing me doing at least 100 for speed. So I figured y not join the fun & push the pedal, all over sudden my car makes that high noise, at 80 the noise was more louder. And I was trying to go even faster but every time I push the pedal the noise got louder & before the car pick up speed. I had to punch harder to get the car to go faster & a seem that I was trying too hard to go faster. My question is that Do all yall have to push the pedal hard to ger the car move fast, I mean really push hard on the pedal. How do I know the turbo is work or blown in the car. I figure I wouldn't have to push so hard to get the car to fast, it feels reid. Come on yall help please.

you have a 2000 1.8T rated at 150hp stock this is not fast at all so yes it will take some effort to get to higher speeds

Hey all

"What's E brake" & also where the boost gauge is located in the car,or where to get one. There's shouldn't be too much probl with the car cause I just did a big service belt & hose & everything. But I,m not getting the power I should from the car. I know I can chip it but I need some hp before chipping. Please comment all.

E brake is emergency brake located between the front seats the handle there with the chrome button. Audi's do not come with boost gauges but any performance shop will have them for sale

How long have you had the car ?
To be honest , I think you are just realizing that a stock 2000 tip 1.8t is slow as hell.
Thats the bottom line. If you are on the highway already goin fast, you are really going to have to floor it to go anywhere.
Chip your car , that should help
