Alright,my friend just got his dads 99 A4. I know nothing about these cars but he said his dad "turned off" the turbo? He tells me there is some sort of switch or valve that can disable the turbo. My question is what is he talking about and how can we turn this thing on? Thanks for your help, guys.

 

No, that's stupid. you could possibly open the wastegate so the turbo wouldn't build any pressure, but that would be very inefficient and the stupidest thing that you could do. He either doesn't know what he's talking about, or is just feeding you bs.
