Im new to the forums so please go easy on me!
I had a few questions that I thought some more experienced guys could answer. Im 20 years old and I bought a 97 A4 1.8T FWD and was wondering what more people thought! Im looking to either make my car as sporty as possible. Now I make about $1100 a week, and was wondering which turbo would be the best upgrade for my money, the K04 or the gt2871rs? I know that there is a big price difference but, which is going to be the best or street racing and for a cheaper install, basically, will both of those turbo upgrades work on a stock engine (with the acception of new exhaust and intake and ecu)? are the stock engine components going to beable to handle them both equally?

Second Question, I was at my girlfriends house and her sister totally backed up into my front bumper, driver side quarter panel, and corner lap lense. Now the good news is that the only thing that really needs to be replaced is the bumper cover, should I get the stock bumper cover fixed at a body shop or just get a S4 ground FX kit? and which kits look the best with a black on black A4....... Which kit would be best for a intercooler and better fog/rally light?

Third Question, doesn anyone have a how to: install a SSQ BOV on my car? Like a link or something that shows me where it goes, and how to install. I understand the concept but i just can find it.

Four and final Question, I know this is an audi forum DURH, but what has more potential, a 3000GT (non-turbo) or my car (97 A4 1.8T)? I just want a sweet fast and fun car?

Hmm soo many things... first off, dont mention street racing because its looked down upon, its stupid, so save it for the track.

Next if you have good mechanical knowledge do the 2871 with appropriate programming. Both are great turbos though, and stock internals should be fine as long as u have a good tune.

Third just get the s4 bumper

fourth get rid of that bov and get a bypass valve such as the Forge 007

Fifth, the 1.8t is much more mod friendly

 

Im looking for the sound of a BOV? will the forge 007 give me that?

and i meant drag racing like at great lakes drag way

thats the forge 004... which is a bov... so still a bov

 

Only way to really hear any DV will be to have an intake setup. I can hear my 710N with the air box mod.

I have a modded airbox and a hypberboost DV, I can hear it and actually its pretty damn loud if you are outside the car.. then again my friend has a 1.8t passat with a forge dv and a full evoms intake and you can hear is dv REALLY well whenever he lets off the gas at all... so dont worry about getting a BOV, the dv will make almost as much noise without sounding like a SRT-4

 

Just get the forge 007 and do some sort of intake and you will have that sound

 

Oh and get a GT2871RS set up forget the mitsu alot of those had junk trannys and the non turbo ones arnt that quick
