wouldnt it be cheaper to get the 96 because i can find thos al day for 6k and then bore it out for 2k and twin turbo for another 3 to 4k insted of the 1.8 start at like 8k at least and it would be pretty expensive to buy the 1.8 and bore out the engine and cams and rockers and all that good stuff when i can save 2 to 3k by getting the 96...what do you think?

If you get a 96' for 6K it's gonna have 150,000 miles on it. That's not much to start an engine buildup on. Even if you replace all internals, you've still got your tranny and fornt and rear diffs which aren't gonna hold 600hp long.

30V>12V
1.8T>12V
2.7T>12V
2.7TT>12V

The 96 is only worth it's slightly better reliability. You're not going to make the kind of power you want out of the 12V without a lot of extra work. Not to mention it's going to cost you about 1.5k in engine management alone.

I've researched it. Everyway possible, it's completely doable. Worth it, negative.

BTW a big single turbo is more reliable and will make more power. Ever wonder why the fastest supras (I just picked a random factory TT, T and NA car) are single turbo?

My opinion, either the 98 30V and SC it. Which should net you around ~250 to the wheels.

Or

a 1.8T and start modifying that. Chip, DP, DV, exhaust, K04.

what do u need 400 up in an audi for?

buy a stock na 95 supra and build that, not as complicated, more airodynamic, and there is way more help for u on the supra fourms rather than us, who only reach like 350hp max

how did a supra get into this conversation

i say buy the S4 and mod that thing, at lease wit an audi you wont spin out from having to much power to the rear wheels
