Default unclear on how to price car

I was thinking of selling my car and possibly buying a newer a4 or b5 s4 and was wondering how pricing worked with upgrades. Im assuming they worth a lot less once you put them on. Basically, what would you say my car is worth? Is there some kind of formula to determine how much aftermarket parts depreciate? KBB stated at its current mileage and all its worth $8570 which seems a little high but heres the specs.

99 Audi A4 QTM
Color: Silver
Mileage: 102k
Problems: minor dings/scratches, small crack in leather on driver's side

Mods (all have less than 7k miles on them)
GIAC ECU
Bailey DV
SS
RS4 grille w/ matching lower grills
1 piece e-codes w/ silverstars
Borla cat-back exhaust
Sony headunit w/ kickers all around and 600 watt kenwood amp w/ 2 300 watt subwoofers
ADR M-sports w/ avon M-500
A-pillar boost gauge
Other small stuff

upgrades will be your down fall remove them and sell as standard stock (no one will be interested in a modded motor) for fear its been thrashed trust me take all the stuff of and sell it separate and don't mention any upgrades, main things to mention is service history with receipts is possible and timing/tensioner/water pump changes

not all that ture, someone will buy it, I sold my 99 Passat with a bunch of mods and a nice CD player got 8500 for it with 95k miles, just when you sell anything with mods its going to take longer to sell, each mod you do and or sell with the car limits your buying pool, if you have troble selling it I would try puting back on the stock cat back and take out your subs and amp, most people dont wont that stuff in thier car

Depends on whos buying it. If its some kid who would want all those mods anyway, it would be worth more to him most likely. If its a dealer, or someone more conservative, it might make be worth less to them because they would suspect its been beaten on a lot, especially at that mileage.

KBB on a 99 is between 7500 and 9500 thats private party value, same car at a dealer would be 8-11

yea but a person that didnt want the mods wouldnt go look at his car if he has them listed in the add, but you are right its going to be harder to sell but it will sell eventually only if the price is good, or if someone things the price is good.. something is only worth what one is willing to pay

i dont know what your local used car mag is but my state has a really good on Bargainnews.com look on there at a4 with your year you will get an idea of how to price it, but I would look in your local used car paper and then price yours on what people are asking around your area thats the best way to go about it, you dont want to be to high, or to much lower than everyone else, try to stay in the middle
