update, problem solved

and now i have a flashing check engine light, w/ multiple misfires........ got 2 new coils and it is still doing the same thing....... could it be plugs and not coils? what could be going on?

this is on an 01 1.8t


i fixed it, it was a stupid coil....... i was mistaking cyl 1 for #4

Yeah the plugs get wet when you do the intake manifold application. You got new coils because of this? rofl
If youre still missing after the seafoam has burned off you put in too much too quick and soaked the plugs. Its a good idea to put in new plugs after seafoaming anyways.

hey, last time i had this issue it was the coils

so i need new pluge?

But last time you probably werent pouring liquid into the intake mani. Yeah get new plugs or at least take yours out and dry them off.

they sat all last night should they still be wet

Maybe. They might be sludged up. Take em out and check it out.

so i changed my plugs too and it is still acting really funny......almost like i am firing on short cylinders

How about checking what codes it's throwing. Somebody would then be able to tell you the exact cause description.
